This paper reports Nakanoshima where historical buildings remain and noticed the preservation and management it. The Retro buildings mainly built from Meiji to Taisho Era. It is very artistic and has a high value. Moreover, these buildings are not only kept as the cultural architecture, but also are started to use as café or work office. So, we went around Nakanoshima and thus thought various things about buildings or landscape. This paper includes the introduction and present condition of each Retro building. The conclusion of this report emphasizes the importance of movement which tries to activate the area, through the use of these buildings as cultural resource.
